Why didn't they include Bea Arthur and Farrah Fawcett during the [[Oscar Memorial‎ video 2010|Oscar memorial]]?

Farah Fawcett is listed on the official site of the Oscars at oscars.org/academy/members/memoriam.html. Michael Jackson is not even listed there. He must have been added in because of his popularity.

Bea Arthur was a TV actress, not a movie actress. Apparently, looking at the length of the list of all those that have passed, they just chose certain ones to honor. Maybe they were past recipients or part of the Board at some point.

Who knows? They put on who they wanted, I guess. Farah was ignored for days after her death because of Michael's death being in the headlines.

They did give coverage to her death a few days after she died on some of the stations. When something big happens in the news, some news gets overshadowed by the bigger event. People knew Farah was dying for a long time and they had a special that she had done about what she was going through before she died.

She was a very brave lady and a wonderful actress, especially in Extremities.

They were mainly television stars. Farrah made a handful of features but most of her movies were made for TV, while Bea Arthur found fame on TV and some plays.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
